If you’ve been around for a little while and then come back in the past few weeks you may have noticed all the previous content has gone missing. I’ve taken down the previous posts as I’ve been praying about the future direction of this site. As my vision for this site has developed and has grown more focused, I’ve decided to evaluate the previous posts in light of the future vision. I want the written resources on this site and its associated podcast(s) to reflect that vision. What is that vision?

I want to help disciples make better disciples. So what that looks like in practice is 1) articles/resources intended to help new Christians grow in their new faith, using 2 Peter 1:5-8 as the paradigm for the site. [1] 2) Articles/resources aimed at Youth Pastors in particular, but those who engage younger Christians in the discipleship process more generally, designed to help them prioritize the kind of disciples they are trying to make of the next generation. Much of youth ministry is focused on quantity over quality, we want to flip that paradigm on its head because I think that’s what Jesus’s priority was in his earthly ministry.

Notes:

[1]”For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.” NIV
