Mission

To resource, encourage, aid believers to “make every effort to support [our] faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge; and knowledge with self-control; and self-control with endurance; and endurance with godliness; and godliness with mutual affection; and mutual affection with love.” So that we may be effective and fruitful in our pursuit of knowing Jesus more and more intimately. (2 Peter 1: 5-8)

History

Faith Seeking Understanding began as Eric’s personal blog, Blogos Ensarkos, in grad school in 2014, but, after years of neglect, ultimately became FaithSeekingUnderstanding.org in 2019 with the goal to build up the church through theological/discipleship related content and contribute my own voice to the conversation that has been ongoing for 2000 years. In order to make the blog more dialogical and conversational, Kevin Lengerich was brought on as a contributing blogger and podcast cohost in 2022.
